Staff Security Engineer

London, England, United Kingdom · Dublin, Ireland

At Ripple, we’re building a world where value moves like information does today. It’s big, it’s bold, and we’re already doing it. Through our crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we are improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people, in more places around the world. And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs. If you’re ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real world value. THE WORK: As a Staff Security Engineer on the Security Operations team, you will help Ripple detect, investigate, and respond to security threats across our environment. You'll work across detection and data engineering, incident response, and security automation — building the tooling and detection logic that lets the team scale. You'll operate independently on sophisticated investigations and detection initiatives, and you'll be a technical reference point for less senior engineers on the team. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Design, build, and tune detections across our security stack (Google Security Operations) to improve our ability to identify and mitigate threats. Lead incident response for the most complex and high-severity investigations, from initial triage through root cause and remediation. Build and maintain security automation workflows (e.g., in Tines) that reduce manual toil in detection, triage, and response. Own and improve SIEM/data pipeline health, including log source coverage, parsing/normalization, and alert quality. Develop cross-functional relationships to influence security initiatives and drive adoption of security tooling. Maintain awareness of the evolving threat landscape and translate that awareness into concrete improvements to our detection coverage and response playbooks. Use AI tools as more than a chatbot — agentic coding tools like Claude Code or OpenAI Codex for detection engineering and automation work — while knowing when a given tool is (and isn't) the right fit, and verifying output before it ships. Participate in the design review process, giving and receiving constructive feedback to keep detection and automation projects on track — and break complex detection challenges into simple systems and repeatable processes other engineers can build and maintain. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 7+ years of experience in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response, with a track record of owning incident response and detection work end-to-end. Advanced knowledge of security principles, tools, and practices used in blue teaming operations, with advanced proficiency in at least one scripting language for tasks like response automation and using REST APIs to automate security operations work. Experience with SIEM platforms and security data pipelines (e.g., Google SecOps) — you understand log source onboarding, parsing, and alert tuning, not just querying. Hands-on experience with EDR, identity, email security, and network security tooling at a level where you can extend and tune the tooling, not just operate it. Ability to write clean technical specs, identify risks before starting major projects, and reason clearly about trade-offs between alternative approaches. Ability to break down complex projects into simple systems and repeatable processes that other engineers can build and maintain, and to seek and give constructive feedback in design review. Problem-solving skills to resolve ambiguous or high-pressure situations effectively and creatively, while maintaining flexibility, professionalism, and integrity. Understands and anticipates people's needs, skills, and abilities, to coach, motivate, and empower them for success. WHO WE ARE: Do Your Best Work The opportunity to build in a fast-paced start-up environment with experienced industry leaders A learning environment where you can dive deep into the latest technologies and make an impact. A professional development budget to support other modes of learning. Thrive in an environment where no matter what race, ethnicity, gender, origin, or culture they identify with, every employee is a respected, valued, and empowered part of the team. In-office collaboration for moments that matter is important to our culture, and we give managers and teams the flexibility to decide which 10+ days a month they come in. Bi-weekly all-company meeting - business updates and ask me anything style discussion with our Leadership Team We come together for moments that matter which include team offsites, team bonding activities, happy hours and more! Take Control of Your Finances Competitive salary, bonuses, and equity Competitive benefits that cover physical and mental healthcare, retirement, family forming, and family support Employee giving match Mobile phone stipend Take Care of Yourself R&R days so you can rest and recharge Generous wellness reimbursement and weekly onsite & virtual programming Generous vacation policy - work with your manager to take time off when you need it Industry-leading parental leave policies. If you have a passion for improving the developer experience, building world-class open-source software and communities, and want to be a part of our amazing team, we'd love to hear from you! Summary We have an opening to hire a Staff Software Engineer - Agent Optimization Temporal provides a reliable foundation powering AI leaders such as OpenAI, NVIDIA, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, and others. Its adoption is expanding to users spanning a broad range of AI applications ranging from agents to data pipelines and everything in between. The mission of the AI Foundations team is to accelerate Temporal adoption across the entire ecosystem. Our approach combines a deep understanding of use cases with rigorous application of computer systems and software design principles. In this role, you will lead our agent optimization efforts. You will design tools and mechanisms to help Temporal users build agents that are optimized for token spend and response time while maintaining result quality. Model routing is a first step, but represents the tip of the iceberg of techniques that we can apply. For example, multi-agent architecture, cache policy, and context management are all relevant. Candidates for this role should have direct experience with this problem domain. You will work closely with other AI Foundations team members, e.g., those who focus on agentic development, maintaining a set of agents skills that lift performance of Codex, Claude Code, and similar tools for developers of Temporal applications. Other team members build ecosystem integrations or develop policy and security systems. If you thrive on blending theory and practice, then this is the right team for you. We are an action-oriented group that loves to ship fast and solve customer problems. We also seek thorough technical grounding for our work and invest in systems and practices that foster long-term success. Take end-to-end ownership of new features, working with other teams to deliver exceptional reliability and a great developer experience. Work with multiple programming languages: Python and TypeScript, Java, Go. Serve as a domain expert on AI design patterns, collaborating with field staff to provide best-practices and canonical examples. Work directly with our developer community to debug issues that need expert attention and get feedback on Temporal features and APIs. Write public technical documentation describing Temporal concepts and APIs. Go the extra mile to support a customer in need, on the rare occasion that our teams’ engineering expertise is needed. Travel to meet your coworkers for a week once or twice a year. Attend the occasional developer conference to talk about how great Temporal is (optional). What You Won’t Do Work as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Devops SWE, or SRE. Work in an office (unless you want to, but you’d be by yourself). Temporal is a fully-remote company. Commit code that’s poorly-tested or works “most of the time”. Temporal aspires to be “Reliable as Gravity”, and we expect our code to be the same. Work behind closed doors. Our work is open source—that means PRs and comments are open to the public, too. Sit in meetings all day. We mostly communicate in writing, and use meetings mainly for status updates and thorny issues that need input from the whole group. Wake up to pager alerts. We’re extremely active in supporting our customers and the community, but we don’t do 24/7 on-call. What You’ll Bring 8+ years of professional work experience. Proven experience in optimizing AI systems using both machine learning and systems techniques Experience and passion for harnessing generative AI, particularly for agents and coding. A deep appreciation for how to use AI to improve quality, not only to increase quantity. A sense of taste in code and software development practice. Your approach should be opinionated and thoughtful, but not dogmatic. Fluency in multiple programming languages, and an affinity for learning new ones. Deep experience with concurrent programming—you should know how to use mutexes, atomics, and other concurrency primitives safely. Experience designing APIs and writing documentation for publicly-available libraries or modules. Strong technical communication skills—written and verbal—in English. BS or MS in Computer Science (or a closely-related degree), or equivalent work experience writing production-grade software. Nice to Have Familiarity with Temporal’s programming model (e.g. you’ve written an app on Temporal). A track record of open source software contributions, including contributions to 3rd party libraries. Experience contributing to the architecture and design of large-scale distributed systems. Deep background in machine learning, model training, data science, or machine learning systems. Graduate degree in Computer Science. Compensation The estimated pay range for this role is $224,000 - $295,000 Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan. Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Costa Mesa, California, United States

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM: CorpTech Platform is the internal engineering force multiplier behind Anduril’s corporate systems. It drives CorpTech engineering forward through strategic investment in data platforms, software platforms, QA and release excellence, ERP engineering, and AI infrastructure. We build the foundations that power both CorpOS, enabling Finance and Growth to operate with speed and precision, and ArsenalOS, the digital backbone of Anduril’s hardware enterprise. By unifying systems, accelerating development velocity, and embedding intelligence into every layer, CorpTech Platform transforms how the company operates end to end. We are also driving Anduril toward becoming an autonomous enterprise. Through initiatives like the Autonomous Software Factory, we are rethinking how software is built, tested, deployed, and evolved by integrating AI directly into the engineering lifecycle. CorpTech Platform is how Anduril scales its business systems with the same rigor, speed, and adaptability as its mission critical products. ABOUT THE JOB: This Staff SRE role sets the reliability architecture for the systems that run Anduril’s business and manufacturing operations. You are not responding to tickets. You are the person who decides how production works: how services are observed, how deployments are safe, how incidents are managed, and how reliability scales as the platform grows. You own the infrastructure and mechanisms that make reliability a property of the platform rather than a function of individual heroics. The role carries broad organizational reach. You will influence how software engineering teams across CorpTech Platform build and operate their systems, set the standards that govern production readiness, and make infrastructure decisions that affect every service in the portfolio. You bring both deep systems expertise and the judgment to know which reliability investments matter most at each stage of the platform’s growth. WHAT YOU"LL DO: Set the reliability architecture for CorpTech Platform’s production environment, including observability infrastructure, deployment systems, incident management, capacity planning, and failure-domain isolation. Design and operate the observability platform, including metrics, distributed tracing, structured logging, alerting, and dashboarding infrastructure that gives engineering teams real production visibility at scale. Own deployment infrastructure and release-safety mechanisms, including progressive rollout systems, canary analysis, automated rollback, and deployment gates that let the organization ship fast without gambling on production stability. Define and govern SLO frameworks that make reliability measurable and actionable, creating shared language between SRE, product engineering, and leadership for making trade-off decisions. Identify systemic reliability risks across the platform and drive infrastructure or automation investments that eliminate entire failure classes rather than patching individual symptoms. Establish production-readiness standards and review processes that engineering teams adopt during design and pre-launch, embedding reliability into the development lifecycle rather than bolting it on after release. Lead incident response for complex, multi-system failures and drive post-incident processes that produce durable systemic improvements rather than shallow fixes. Develop reliability patterns for AI-enabled systems, including monitoring for model behavior drift, non-deterministic output degradation, and graceful fallback under novel failure modes. Provide technical direction to SRE and infrastructure engineers, facilitate cross-team architecture decisions, and represent reliability concerns in platform-level planning and prioritization. Drive capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance engineering for the platform’s critical paths and shared infrastructure. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, production engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related discipline, including experience operating at architecture or platform-wide scope. Demonstrated experience designing and owning reliability infrastructure that multiple engineering teams depend on, including observability platforms, deployment systems, or incident management tooling at meaningful scale. Deep technical fluency across distributed systems, container orchestration (Kubernetes), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), networking, storage, and the failure modes specific to each layer. Proficiency in systems programming languages (Go, Python, Rust, or equivalent) used for building production infrastructure, tooling, and automation. Demonstrated experience defining SRE standards, production-readiness frameworks, or operational maturity models and influencing adoption across engineering teams without formal authority. Track record of leading incident response for complex, multi-system failures and converting post-incident findings into infrastructure investments that prevent recurrence. Proven ability to work independently through ambiguity, define reliability strategy without top-down direction, and sequence investments against competing organizational demands. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior engineers, engineering leadership, and cross-functional partners on infrastructure and reliability decisions. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience designing or operating observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry) at organizational scale, including decisions about instrumentation standards, data pipelines, retention, and cost management. Experience building deployment and release-safety infrastructure, including canary systems, progressive delivery, feature flagging, and automated rollback mechanisms. Experience with reliability engineering for AI-enabled or ML-serving systems, including monitoring non-deterministic behavior, building evaluation-driven alerts, and designing graceful degradation for model failures. Familiarity with frontier AI tooling, AI coding assistants, and AI-enabled software development workflows. Experience in hyper growth startup-like environments, with demonstrated success scaling reliability practices alongside rapid engineering growth. Familiarity with enterprise systems and business process domains such as ERP, MES, WMS, CRM, finance systems, or manufacturing systems. Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. US Salary Range$191,000—$253,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. Additionally, Anduril offers top-tier benefits for full-time employees, including: Benefits At Anduril, we invest in our people. Staff Metrology Engineer

Ashville, Ohio, United States

ABOUT THE SITE Anduril, a leader in autonomous systems and weapons manufacturing, is building Arsenal-1 , its first hyperscale manufacturing facility, just south of Columbus, Ohio in Pickaway County. Arsenal-1 is redefining the scale and speed that autonomous systems and weapons can be produced for the United States and its allies and partners. This is a monumental and essential step toward rebuilding America’s defense industrial base, strengthening America’s warfighting capabilities, and enhancing deterrence amid rising international threats. ABOUT THE TEAM As a Staff Metrology Engineer at Arsenal-1, you'll set the technical direction for the precise measurement processes crucial for top-quality defense manufacturing. You'll be a key player in advancing Anduril's digital and autonomous production, applying your expertise in 3D scanning, optical metrology, and measurement systems analysis. Your role involves early collaboration with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate metrology for real-time verification and quality control. You'll stand up Anduril's dimensional metrology lab at Arsenal-1 — selecting the equipment, defining the calibration and gage management programs, and setting the practices the rest of the manufacturing network will follow. This role is technical first: you'll be the hands-on measurement authority for the site while building a small Metrology team around you. As the lab grows, the role is expected to develop into a formal people-management position, with the Arsenal-1 Metrology Technicians and Specialists reporting to you. The ideal candidate pairs deep precision-measurement expertise with the ability to hire, grow, and mentor a technical team. WHAT YOU’LL DO Stand up the dimensional metrology lab at Arsenal-1, from equipment selection and capital justification through layout, environmental controls, fixturing, and the calibration and gage management programs that keep it audit-ready. Serve as the hands-on technical authority on dimensional measurement for the site — write and validate inspection programs, perform FAI and measurement system analysis (MSA / Gage R&R), and own the GD&T standards that meet aerospace and defense requirements. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate metrology early in development for better risk management and process verification. Own the multi-year metrology roadmap that supports Anduril's production and manufacturing goals, and set the practices the broader manufacturing network will follow. Build and lead the Arsenal-1 Metrology team (Technicians and Specialists) — shape the headcount plan, interview and onboard team members, and grow the role into a formal people-management position as the team scales. Own the training, certification, and leveling path for the Metrology Technician and Specialist team, letting the team scale reliably with production. Lead design and manufacturing of inspection gages that support production inline inspection and receiving inspections — a mix of Go/No-Go gages and automated inspection systems (vision, scans, etc.). Create a comprehensive metrology plan using 3D scanning, CMM, data visualization, and digital-twin technologies to improve quality and precision. Lead efforts to analyze product quality using data, focusing on measurement accuracy and consistency in manufacturing. Mentor engineers and technicians, coach supplier quality engineers on metrology practices, and guide product quality engineers through RCCA, MRB, and incident management on metrology-related quality issues. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Engineering degree and 10+ years of metrology, manufacturing, or quality engineering experience. Deep, hands-on precision-measurement expertise — CMM programming, FAI, and measurement system analysis (MSA / Gage R&R). Experience standing up or significantly expanding a dimensional metrology or inspection lab — equipment selection, capital planning, environmental requirements, and calibration program setup. Experience building, leading, or mentoring metrology or manufacturing teams, including hiring, training, and developing technicians. Strong knowledge of aerospace measurement techniques and quality management, including GD&T (ASME Y14.5). Experience with CMM and metrology software; PolyWorks preferred. Experience with large-volume metrology equipment such as laser trackers, laser radar, and 3D scanners, from manufacturers such as Hexagon, Zeiss, Keyence, and LK Metrology. Expert in mechanical manufacturing standards and practices, including machining, fabrication, and assembly tolerancing. Proficient in statistical analysis of measurement data and in reporting findings to engineering and program stakeholders. Familiar with product development processes and AS9100 quality management systems. Understanding of budgeting and headcount forecasting. Detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Active U.S. Secret security clearance. Experience with PolyWorks|DataLoop or similar metrology data management platforms, especially across multiple sites. Familiarity with calibration system requirements such as ISO/IEC 17025. Familiarity with Teamcenter, NX, Jira, and manufacturing execution systems. US Salary Range$143,000—$191,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
