Engineering Manager, Digital Assets

Chicago, Illinois, United States

At Ripple, we’re building a world where value moves like information does today. It’s big, it’s bold, and we’re already doing it. Through our crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we are improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people, in more places around the world. And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs. If you’re ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real world value. The Opportunity This solution does not yet exist. Corporate treasury teams must choose between old treasury platforms that fail to support digital assets and crypto-native tools that lack fundamental enterprise treasury elements. You will head the engineering effort to remove this choice by incorporating Ripple's digital asset abilities into the Ripple Treasury platform in close partnership with Ripple's core digital assets team. This is a greenfield role. You will join forces with a seasoned infrastructure engineer and a product lead, forming a team of up to four full-stack developers. The direction may change day-to-day as the team finds what works best. There is no guidebook and no comparable market solution. You will determine how digital assets fit into corporate treasury workflows — and through this, help establish a new category of enterprise software. What You'll Do Manage the engineering process for digital asset integration by building and designing systems that join Ripple's digital asset functions (XRP, RLUSD, tokenized assets, custody, cross-border settlement) with Ripple Treasury's enterprise platform. Build and manage a group of up to four full-stack .NET developers, recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineers while staying actively involved in coding. Ship working software daily — lead a fast-paced Kanban workflow where the team builds, presents, iterates, and adapts direction based on findings and collaborator feedback. Work closely with Ripple's core digital assets team to grasp protocol capabilities, integration points, and roadmap alignment. Design full-stack solutions spanning .NET backend services and Angular or React frontends, ensuring enterprise-grade reliability, security, and auditability. Navigate ambiguity with confidence — make sound engineering decisions with incomplete information, course-correct quickly, and keep the team productive through rapid pivots. Partner with product, compliance, and treasury domain experts to translate emerging requirements into shippable features that meet the needs of Fortune 500 CFOs and treasurers. Define engineering practices for the team — establish coding standards, review processes, testing strategies, and deployment patterns appropriate for a fast-moving, pioneering effort. What You Bring 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background in .NET and modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or equivalent) Over 2 years of experience in leading engineering teams, encompassing recruitment, mentoring, and development of engineering groups Demonstrated ability to ship software in fast-paced, ambiguous environments — you have built products where requirements were unclear or changing rapidly Production background in fintech, digital assets, or blockchain — you have delivered systems managing actual financial transactions or digital asset activities Comfort with pioneering work — you thrive when the playbook hasn't been written yet and find energy in defining new approaches Strong communication and collaboration skills — ability to work closely with cross-functional partners including product managers, compliance teams, and external engineering teams Hands-on leadership orientation — willingness and ability to write production code alongside your team, especially in the early stages of team building Nice to Have Deep familiarity with blockchain protocols, digital asset custody, tokenization, or cross-border settlement systems Experience with XRP Ledger, RLUSD, or Ripple's product ecosystem Background in corporate treasury, treasury management systems, or enterprise financial software Experience integrating traditional financial infrastructure with digital asset platforms Familiarity with regulatory requirements for digital asset products in financial services WHO WE ARE: Do Your Best Work The opportunity to build in a fast-paced start-up environment with experienced industry leaders A learning environment where you can dive deep into the latest technologies and make an impact. A professional development budget to support other modes of learning. Thrive in an environment where no matter what race, ethnicity, gender, origin, or culture they identify with, every employee is a respected, valued, and empowered part of the team. In-office collaboration for moments that matter is important to our culture, and we give managers and teams the flexibility to decide which 10+ days a month they come in. Bi-weekly all-company meeting - business updates and ask me anything style discussion with our Leadership Team We come together for moments that matter which include team offsites, team bonding activities, happy hours and more! Take Control of Your Finances Competitive salary, bonuses, and equity Competitive benefits that cover physical and mental healthcare, retirement, family forming, and family support Employee giving match Mobile phone stipend Take Care of Yourself R&R days so you can rest and recharge Generous wellness reimbursement and weekly onsite & virtual programming Generous vacation policy - work with your manager to take time off when you need it Industry-leading parental leave policies. Director, Global Transformation

Chicago, Illinois, United States · New York, New York, United States

At Ripple, we’re building a world where value moves like information does today. It’s big, it’s bold, and we’re already doing it. Through our crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we are improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people, in more places around the world. And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs. If you’re ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real world value. THE WORK: Ripple Treasury is redefining how businesses move, manage, and settle money across borders — and we’re looking for a Director of Global Transformation to help lead that charge internally. This senior individual-contributor and leadership role is part of our Program Management team. It requires broad collaboration with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams. The role focuses on driving sophisticated, enterprise-wide initiatives from strategy to execution. You will own end-to-end transformation programs that improve the way Ripple Treasury functions at scale — spanning process development, technology adoption, leading shifts within the organization, and performance measurement. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds trust with senior team members quickly, and can translate high-level strategic goals into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across Ripple Treasury, driving cross-functional alignment from ideation through delivery and post-launch optimization. Partner with senior leaders from Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and GTM to define program scope, success metrics, and governance structures. Own sophisticated program roadmaps: build and maintain project plans, identify dependencies, proactively surface risks, and drive resolution. Champion organizational change management — develop communication strategies, training plans, and adoption frameworks that embed lasting change. Translate ambiguous strategic priorities into structured, executable work with clear ownership and accountability. Establish and maintain program health reporting and executive-level status updates; facilitate steering committees and cross-functional working sessions. Identify systemic inefficiencies in how Ripple Treasury operates and develop the argument, roadmap, and delivery plan to address them. Collaborate closely with peer Program Managers and serve as a senior thought partner, elevating the practice of coordinating programs across the team. Represent the PMO perspective in planning cycles, crafting how transformation initiatives are prioritized and resourced. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Proven experience in program management, management consulting, strategy, or a related field, with at least 3–5 years in a Director-level or equivalent senior role. Experience owning and delivering large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs at a high-growth tech company or financial services firm. Exceptional collaborator leadership skills — you build credibility quickly with executives and peers alike, and can navigate organizational complexity with ease. Strong process design and systems-thinking skills; you can map current-state, develop future-state, and build the bridge between them. Comfort working across product, engineering, and operations contexts — you don’t need to be a technical expert, but you know how to partner with teams who are. Proficient in written and verbal expression, capable of making complex topics accessible for executive audiences. Proficiency with modern program management tooling (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent); familiarity with data tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a plus. Demonstrated experience applying AI tools to program management or operational workflows — including using large language models (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate research, synthesize information, draft communications, or automate routine tasks. Comfort adopting and evaluating emerging AI capabilities; able to identify where AI tooling can meaningfully improve team productivity and program outcomes, and champion adoption across cross-functional collaborators. Experience in FinTech, payments, or financial infrastructure is a strong plus. Nice to Have Hands-on experience with Claude (Anthropic) for business workflows — including prompt design, Cowork or API-based automation, or deploying Claude within team tooling. Background in management consulting (top-tier firm) or corporate strategy. Exposure to global or multi-regional program delivery across time zones and regulatory environments. Familiarity with B2B payments, treasury management, or cross-border settlement. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
