Lead Product Designer
$200k-$250k / year
Goody is hiring a Lead Product Designer who has an excellent visual eye and is motivated by building delightful products. Goody is a gifting platform that makes personal and professional gifting easy — you don’t need an address, and you don’t need to worry if your recipient prefers something else, since they can swap their gift. We also offer an API to plug in gifting and commerce to any app. We help people celebrate milestones, recognize achievements, close deals, and make clients feel valued through thoughtful gifts that make people’s days. Founded 5 years ago, our product is used by Google, Stripe, Meta, Anthropic, Notion, NBCUniversal, DHL, and others. Despite being something everyone does, gifting is one of the areas of commerce yet to be disrupted, and our mission is to capture that market opportunity and spread joy and positivity. And with Goody being co-founded by a designer, we view design as absolutely central to our mission. For designers who love to craft experiences: You’ll be working on a product where the goal is delight. Gifting is meant to be experiential. We have a lot of fun crafting the experience to be fun, and we consider how each screen impacts the emotional experience, such as our gift unwrap experience which has a neat (and customizable) animation designed to immerse the recipient. We worked with XYZ Type to tailor our own typeface (this one!) when we couldn’t find one off the shelf that conveyed our vibe. And we have big ambitions for how to make the experience even better and more fun (for which we could use your ideas and taste!) For designers who love ownership and impact: You’ll have deep ownership over projects that impact the success of our company. You’d work directly with me (Mark), the co-founder, CTO, and Head of Product, to build our key projects, and we’ll bounce ideas between and challenge each other, which will ultimately lead to the best work. And as you might expect in a tight-knit startup, you’ll be responsible for full features and will heavily impact our users’ experience of our product, and ultimately the success of the company. For designers with business sense: You’ll have an opportunity to design the product that wins this market. Gifting is one of the areas of commerce yet to be revolutionized. We are in an excellent position to win this market, in part because Goody is the design leader in the gifting space, offering the best UI/UX for business gifting. History has shown that companies with the best design and taste tend to win, if coupled with good execution. If you related with all three of these, that’s a good sign. We are looking for a designer with the combination of deep sense of craft and obsessiveness over quality , who thrive with ownership and responsibility , and who have excellent business sense . What you’ll do Design user interfaces and experiences for Goody’s responsive web application, including the sender experience (ecommerce and SaaS) and recipient gift experience Since product and design are inextricably interlinked, collaborate with product to evolve product direction based on findings in the design process Understand user needs through feedback, testing, research, and gathering information from users and stakeholders Evolve Goody’s design language to changing needs and new feature development Explore ways to integrate AI/ML in non-BS, actually useful ways This is an IC, non-management role, so you can focus on creating Location Remote in North America timezones. US and Canada preferred. Salary range is adjusted to take locality into account outside of US and Canada. Company Benefits 100% remote work Group medical, dental, and vision coverage insurance (with opt-out benefits) 401k Stock options Open PTO, with a company-wide summer break designed to counterbalance the demands of the year-end holiday season. Paid parental leave benefits Annual company offsite – past locations include Cabo, San Diego, and Banff $100/month reimbursement for wellness $500 annual education stipend Lots of Goodys! Benefits may vary based on employment status or country location. About Goody Goody is a modern gifting platform built to help companies create meaningful connections at scale. We power thoughtful, on-brand gifting experiences for leading teams, making it easy to send the right gift to the right person at the right moment without the logistics headaches. Goody was founded in 2020 and is backed by leading investors like NEA, SoftBank, and Quiet Capital. We are a fully remote, product-driven team trusted by 64 percent of the Fortune 100. In 2025, Inc. ranked Goody as the fastest-growing gifting company in the United States, reflecting our momentum and focus on building exceptional experiences for customers and teammates alike.

Go - Software Engineer, AI
$62.4k-$145.6k / year
Before applying This role is open to contractors in accepted locations only. Please confirm your country is on the list before applying — we're unable to process applications from unlisted locations. List of accepted countries and locations. For US applicants This is a 1099 independent contractor role. It is not compatible with F-1 OPT, STEM OPT, or any visa status that requires W-2 employment, guaranteed hours, or employer sponsorship. We are unable to provide offer letters or employment verification for this role. What You'll Be Doing Help train large language models (LLMs) to write production-grade code across a wide range of programming languages: Compare and rank multiple code snippets, explaining which is best and why Repair and refactor AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and style Inject feedback (ratings, edits, test results) into the RLHF pipeline and keep it running smoothly End result: the model learns to propose, critique, and improve code the way you do. RLHF in one line: Generate code → expert engineers rank, edit, and justify → convert that feedback into reward signals → reinforcement learning tunes the model toward code you'd actually ship. What You'll Need 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in Go (constraint programming experience is a bonus, but not required) Strong code-review instincts — you can spot logic errors, performance traps, and security issues quickly Extreme attention to detail and excellent written communication skills. Much of this role involves explaining why one approach is better than another. This cannot be overstated. Comfortable reading documentation and language specs, and able to work well in an asynchronous, low-oversight environment Identity verification: Applicants will be required to verify their identity and confirm they have valid documentation to work as an independent contractor in their country of residence. What You Don't Need No prior RLHF or AI training experience Logistics Location: Fully remote — work from anywhere on the accepted locations list Compensation: $30–$70/hr based on location and seniority. Note: the majority of projects run at around $30/hr — higher rates apply to senior profiles and specific project types Hours: Minimum 15 hrs/week, up to 40+ hrs/week available — hours vary by project and are not guaranteed week to week Engagement: 1099 independent contractor Payment: Weekly via PayPal or Stripe ⚠️ Important: Hours are project-dependent and can vary week to week. We recommend keeping other work options open alongside this engagement rather than relying on it as your sole source of income.
