You will join the MongoDB Networking Observability team to build and enhance components for communication between distributed processes and improve observability. Your work will focus on improving networking efficiency, resource utilization, and developing low-overhead observability features that influence the performance and robustness of the database. You'll collaborate with a team of engineers, some in NYC and some fully remote, to help build a faster, more reliable, and exceptionally observable database system.

You will join the MongoDB Server Query Optimization team to help build a world-class distributed open-source query optimizer, playing a crucial role in data processing performance. You'll work on the MongoDB Query Language and the lifecycle of each query through parsing, optimization, and plan selection, solving interesting problems with direct impact on users for transactional, time-series, and analytical workloads.

You'll work on the Atlas team to build scalability capabilities that users trust, collaborating with engineering, design, marketing, and analytics. You'll deeply understand customer workload growth, develop hypotheses about scaling challenges, and validate solutions across Atlas and MongoDB server. Your success will accelerate how users can safely scale their deployments up, down, and horizontally.

You will act as a strategic advisor to MongoDB customers, providing guidance on best practices and technology strategy while proactively identifying and mitigating technical risks. You'll facilitate resolution of high-stakes customer challenges and act as the link between customers and product engineering to develop innovative solutions. This role involves building and executing account plans, leading executive business reviews, and helping to develop the Customer Success program.
