By using CareerPair ("Service") at careerpair.co, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

CareerPair provides tools to create resumes and cover letters, track job applications, and receive AI-powered writing assistance. The Service is provided "as is" and may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. Account responsibilities

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use CareerPair.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must not share your account or use another person's account without permission.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
  • Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates third-party rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the platform.
  • Use AI-generated content without reviewing it for accuracy before submission to employers.

5. AI-generated content

CareerPair uses AI models (including OpenAI) to assist with resume writing and job matching. AI-generated suggestions may contain inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any content before use. CareerPair does not guarantee job placement or interview outcomes.

6. Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of the resume content and documents you create. By using the Service, you grant CareerPair a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service (e.g. AI processing, file storage). CareerPair's branding, UI, and code remain the property of CareerPair.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareerPair is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities or data loss.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes by email.
