💼 About This Role

You'll own the modernization roadmap for the Athlete Management System backend, upgrading from Java 8 to a current LTS version and transitioning to containerized, cloud-native infrastructure. You'll drive architectural decisions that improve performance, scalability, and maintainability for elite sports organizations worldwide.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and execute roadmap to modernize AMS backend architecture
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance and API query efficiency
• Implement asynchronous workflows and remove deprecated code
• Drive cross-product technical impact and mentor engineers

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java with legacy system modernization
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and RESTful API design
• Operational experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tooling

• Experience migrating monolithic architectures to containerized systems
• Background in data-intensive or secure environments
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
