You'll develop mechanical designs for satellite structures and subsystems at Apex, a fast-growing startup building commercial spacecraft platforms. You'll optimize designs for manufacturability and weight reduction, while conducting structural analyses to ensure performance and reliability under space environments. 🎯 What You'll Do

  • Develop mechanical designs and models for satellite structures and subsystems.
  • Conduct structural analyses (FEA, hand calculations) to ensure reliability.
  • Optimize designs for weight reduction, material selection, and manufacturability.
  • Participate in assembly, integration, and testing of satellite hardware.

📋 Requirements

  • U.S. Person status due to export control data access.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably aerospace.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) for 3D modeling.
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis techniques (FEA, hand calculations).

✨ Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing standards (vibration, thermal vacuum).
  • Experience with GD&T drafting standards.
