You'll develop mechanical designs for satellite structures and subsystems at Apex, a fast-growing startup building commercial spacecraft platforms. You'll optimize designs for manufacturability and weight reduction, while conducting structural analyses to ensure performance and reliability under space environments. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact satellite projects with a well-funded team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop mechanical designs and models for satellite structures and subsystems.
• Conduct structural analyses (FEA, hand calculations) to ensure reliability.
• Optimize designs for weight reduction, material selection, and manufacturability.
• Participate in assembly, integration, and testing of satellite hardware.

📋 Requirements

• U.S. Person status due to export control data access.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably aerospace.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) for 3D modeling.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis techniques (FEA, hand calculations).

✨ Nice to Have

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with environmental testing standards (vibration, thermal vacuum).
• Experience with GD&T drafting standards.
