Description

You will design, implement, and support industrial control systems for manufacturing and packaging operations, focusing on PLC, HMI, and automation solutions to improve equipment reliability, performance, and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering in high-speed manufacturing or packaging.
• Hands-on experience with automated equipment like fillers, conveyors, and inspection systems.
• Proven ability to design, program, commission, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles and structured problem-solving.
• Commitment to safety including E-Stops, interlocks, and compliance with electrical and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support control system solutions to improve safety, quality, throughput, and OEE.
• Own the performance and reliability of PLC, HMI, and automation systems through troubleshooting and proactive improvements.
• Apply engineering standards and best practices to develop new control strategies and documentation.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and vendors to commission new equipment and ensure maintainability.
• Ensure control systems meet quality, safety, and performance requirements for consistent production.
