Description

You will lead a small field crew on utility-scale solar farms, handling troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of ground-mount solar systems and power plant equipment. This hands-on leadership role ensures work is performed safely, correctly, and on schedule while traveling 100% of the time.

Requirements

• 3+ years utility-scale solar experience (megawatt-scale PV systems)
• Experience leading crews of 4+ or acting as lead technician on-site
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills (inverters, DC systems, power electronics)
• Working knowledge of OSHA/NFPA 70E safety standards
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, travel 100%, and work outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits
• Perform testing: LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, IR scans
• Lead and direct 4+ field technicians on active solar farm sites, assign work, and track progress
• Perform operations and maintenance on utility-scale solar plants and enforce safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E)
• Complete work orders, service logs, and documentation; train and support junior technicians
