💼 About This Role

You'll drive Prefect's event strategy from conception to execution, converting developer communities into commercial revenue. You'll own the full lifecycle of our event presence, from selecting conferences to designing world-class developer experiences. This role blends strategic program management with hands-on execution to build the PyAI brand.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies across all Prefect products
• Lead execution of hosted and sponsored events worldwide, including logistics and budgets
• Manage multiple events simultaneously, attending key flagship events remotely
• Launch online community initiatives including forums, user groups, and ambassador programs

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years managing developer communities and events
• Background in developer advocacy or technical community building
• Proven track record launching and scaling community programs (forums, user groups, ambassador programs)
• Experience with technical audiences in infrastructure, DevOps, or data engineering

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with developer-focused companies in infrastructure or data technologies
• Genuine curiosity about AI trends, particularly the MCP ecosystem
• Organized both large conferences (1k attendees) and intimate meetups
