💼 About This Role

You'll lead multiple engineering teams building learned behavior models for Torc's autonomous trucking system. You'll own technical vision and roadmap for Learned Vehicle Intent (LVI), integrating reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and multi-agent systems. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with Staff-level depth and team-building responsibilities.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for Learned Vehicle Intent (LVI).
• Lead and scale 2-3 teams of ML engineers.
• Guide architecture decisions for policy learning systems.
• Drive development of scalable training pipelines and experimentation frameworks.
• Partner cross-functionally with perception, prediction, planning, simulation, and safety teams.

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in applied ML, autonomy, or robotics.
• Reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and multi-agent systems expertise.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams across multiple domains.
• Strong programming in Python and PyTorch or equivalent.

✨ Nice to Have

• PhD in CS, AI, or related field with learned behavior focus.
• Experience deploying RL or learned behavior models in production.
• Familiarity with simulation environments, scenario generation, and validation frameworks.
