💼 About This Role

You'll establish and lead quality engineering at Peak Energy from the ground up, ensuring our battery systems are safe and reliable. You'll define foundational quality systems, drive PFMEA and in-process controls, and manage supplier quality. This role offers the chance to build the quality organization as the company scales and impact the next generation of renewable energy storage.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Conduct rapid assessments of build processes and risk areas.
• Own and continuously improve the PFMEA process.
• Establish IQC framework and supplier qualification criteria.
• Define control, verification, and sampling plans for part quality.
• Drive field investigations and customer-facing quality responses.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in hardware manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with PFMEA processes and risk mitigation.
• Experience establishing quality systems in an early-stage environment.
• Familiarity with battery-specific failure modes (cell, pack, thermal, BMS).
• Experience leading field failure investigations and root cause analysis.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience shipping a product from prototype to customer deployment.
• Exposure to relevant standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, UL, IEC 62133, UN 38.3).
• Familiarity with safety risk assessment frameworks for battery production.
