Description
You will support Korean and/or Japanese customers with a North American presence as a Systems Engineering intern, interacting with cross-functional teams to help drive go-to-market strategy. You'll build technical understanding of wired and wireless networking solutions while managing projects and presenting work to leadership. This full-time paid summer internship offers hands-on experience with AI-assisted workflows and networking technology.
Requirements
- Must currently reside in North America
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Networking, Systems, Software, or Data), or a related field such as IT, Computer Science, or Applied Analytics
- Must be bilingual in English and Japanese, or English and Korean
- Have at least 18 months remaining before graduation
- Should have a general understanding of Networking Technology
- Must be a self-starter, proactive and eager to learn
- Skilled at using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within both virtual and in-person teams
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with cross-functional teams
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with varied deliverables and due dates
- Listen to and document customer feedback and relay it to internal departments for improvement opportunities
- Present their work directly to managers and senior leaders
- Hands-on experience or demonstrated interest in AI-assisted workflows, preferably using Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude, applied to technical analysis, lab testing, and real-world problem solving
- Build a strong technical understanding of Extreme’s wired and wireless networking solutions
