Description

You will support Korean and/or Japanese customers with a North American presence as a Systems Engineering intern, interacting with cross-functional teams to help drive go-to-market strategy. You'll build technical understanding of wired and wireless networking solutions while managing projects and presenting work to leadership. This full-time paid summer internship offers hands-on experience with AI-assisted workflows and networking technology.

Requirements

  • Must currently reside in North America
  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Networking, Systems, Software, or Data), or a related field such as IT, Computer Science, or Applied Analytics
  • Must be bilingual in English and Japanese, or English and Korean
  • Have at least 18 months remaining before graduation
  • Should have a general understanding of Networking Technology
  • Must be a self-starter, proactive and eager to learn
  • Skilled at using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within both virtual and in-person teams
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with varied deliverables and due dates
  • Listen to and document customer feedback and relay it to internal departments for improvement opportunities
  • Present their work directly to managers and senior leaders
  • Hands-on experience or demonstrated interest in AI-assisted workflows, preferably using Microsoft Copilot and/or Claude, applied to technical analysis, lab testing, and real-world problem solving
  • Build a strong technical understanding of Extreme’s wired and wireless networking solutions
