💼 About This Role

You'll lead the aerodynamic layout of fixed-wing, multicopter, and eVTOL UAVs for a next-generation defense prime. Your work will directly bridge theoretical concepts to flight-ready hardware, ensuring high-performance, stable, and manufacturable platforms. You'll collaborate across Mechanical and GNC teams to transform mission profiles into optimized airframe configurations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead aerodynamic layout for fixed-wing, multicopter, and eVTOL configurations.
• Execute end-to-end CFD simulation pipeline: geometry, meshing, solver, post-processing.
• Generate high-fidelity aero-databases and stability derivatives for GNC team.
• Apply gradient-based or adjoint methods for drag reduction and lift-to-drag optimization.

📋 Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Strong foundation in subsonic aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and low-Reynolds number flows.
• Hands-on experience with CFD solvers: OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or Star-CCM+.
• Proficiency in Python with NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and visualization libraries.

✨ Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience building or piloting RC aircraft or drones.
• Familiarity with UAV airworthiness standards (STANAG 4671) and flying qualities (MIL-STD-1797).
