💼 About This Role

You'll lead the design and evolution of security architecture, controls, and technical solutions across a global alternative asset management firm. Your core impact will be safeguarding firm data, systems, and facilities while proactively identifying risks and recommending strategic improvements. This role offers high autonomy and ownership of security projects from concept through execution.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and enhance security controls across endpoint, network, cloud, identity, and application environments.
• Lead security-focused projects including scoping, planning, execution, stakeholder communication, and documentation.
• Own and optimize core security tooling like EDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability management.
• Develop automation for threat detection, alerting, response workflows, and reporting metrics.
• Conduct and oversee annual penetration testing and social engineering exercises.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years progressive experience in cybersecurity or information security engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience implementing and engineering security controls in enterprise environments.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Experience designing and maintaining SIEM solutions.

• Experience in financial services or investment management.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or AWS Security.
• Experience with Agile principles for cybersecurity initiatives.
