You'll lead full-stack AI-native solutions for Toast's AI pod, tackling complex, high-impact problems across product and platform landscapes. You'll drive technical architecture from backend services to frontend interfaces, and mentor engineers. This role combines deep technical expertise with AI-first approaches in a hybrid setting.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead full-stack design and delivery of AI-native solutions across cross-functional problems.
  • Drive technical architecture for pod initiatives, from backend APIs to frontend interfaces.
  • Build and integrate LLM-powered agents, tools, and workflows into product contexts.
  • Set and uphold engineering standards for code quality, system design, and testing.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pairing.

πŸ“‹ Requirements

  • 10+ years experience designing and delivering scalable software systems with full-stack background.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical architecture for a platform, product, or engineering team.
  • Experience building, deploying, or operating LLM-powered agents or AI platform infrastructure.
  • Strong foundation in modern backend (Java, Kotlin or similar) and frontend (TypeScript, React or similar) technologies.

  • Familiarity with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and extending them.
  • Experience with MCP, tool use patterns, or agentic integration frameworks.
  • Strong prompt engineering skills and intuition for LLM behavior.
