Description

You will lead the Common Voice project, a crowdsourcing platform that supports over 300 language communities and helps mitigate bias in AI. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization, oversee engineering delivery, and manage community engagement during a transition period. This role is a 12-month fixed-term position.

Requirements

• Experience in product ownership and strategic leadership
• Ability to oversee community engagement and contributor management
• Strong collaboration skills with engineering, data, privacy, and infrastructure partners
• Experience with funding proposals and partnership discussions
• Familiarity with AI data crowdsourcing platforms and language communities

Responsibilities

• Deliver 2026 maintenance+ roadmap ensuring stability, reliability, security, and progress on technical debt
• Define and track success metrics aligned to 2026 goals and Tech Platforms objectives
• Lead development of 2027+ product roadmap including growth scenarios, resourcing implications, and strategic tradeoffs
• Take on interim community manager responsibilities ensuring continuity, trust, and responsiveness for the Common Voice community
• Set clear goals, priorities, and expectations for engineering contributors in alignment with product objectives
