Description

In this role, you will lead mechanical design and integration of ruggedized electronics and mission hardware into ground and sea mobile platforms for defense applications. You'll own the full lifecycle from concept to sustainment, performing CAD modeling, analysis, and hands-on prototyping to ensure systems meet shock, vibration, and thermal requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years experience in platform-level mechanical design and system integration for aerospace/defense
• Proven experience integrating mechanical subsystems into vehicles or mobile platforms
• Strong proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks or equivalent) for large assemblies
• Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD-810) and ruggedized hardware design

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on mechanical integration of mission systems into ground and sea mobile platforms
• Architect and design mechanical structures, enclosures, and mechanisms subject to environmental constraints
• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and interface control documentation
• Perform structural and thermal analyses and ensure compliance with military standards
• Lead system-level integration, qualification, and acceptance activities
