Join Canonical's Store team to develop and operate large-scale backend services powering the Snap Store and Charmhub.io marketplaces. You'll build clean APIs and work on scaling production architecture for IoT and Enterprise solutions.

Requirements

• Professional proficiency in developing public-facing APIs and web apps with Python
• Broad technology base favoring backend code and infrastructure
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases and data modeling
• Comfortable with Ubuntu as development and deployment platform
• Strong academic performance in Computer Science or STEM

Responsibilities

• Collaborate remotely with a globally distributed team
• Write clean web service APIs using Python and optionally Golang
• Design and implement new features from spec to production
• Review code and technical designs from other engineers
• Travel globally 2-4 weeks per year for events
