You'll design, develop, and maintain backend software solutions for Five9's digital initiatives, building scalable microservices and APIs. Your work will directly power end-to-end platform capabilities that enable cloud contact center innovation. This role offers the opportunity to mentor other engineers and drive backend engineering best practices across the organization.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend microservices
• Develop and maintain REST APIs supporting digital platform capabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and architectural issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align requirements and delivery

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience in Java backend development
• Strong proficiency with REST API design and microservice architectures
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and databases (SQL, NoSQL, Redis)
• Experience solving complex problems across multiple services or distributed systems

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes
• Experience with event-driven messaging systems
• Experience with contact center technologies like IVR or VoIP
