Description

You will lead the design, deployment, and sustainment of the AI-enabled backbone for digital shipbuilding, operationalizing advanced models and architecting the industrial AI stack. You'll translate factory scenarios into applied AI workflows with human-in-the-loop controls, working across teams to build production systems that deliver real value.

Requirements

• Experience leading MLOps and architecting AI platform stacks in production environments
• Expertise in model-serving frameworks, vector databases, RAG, and industrial AI components
• Proficiency in event-driven data pipelines and telemetry systems
• Knowledge of model governance, drift detection, retraining triggers, and operational SLOs
• Experience integrating AI systems with PLM, MES, CMMS, ERP or similar enterprise systems

Responsibilities

• Architect and own the AI/ML platform stack including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Select and standardize industrial AI components: feature stores, vector databases, OCR/IDP, CV, orchestration layers, observability systems
• Build model-serving and inference frameworks for real-time and batch execution across cloud, edge, and shop-floor systems
• Translate factory scenarios (receiving, inspection, RCCA, scheduling) into applied AI workflows with human-in-the-loop gates and integration with PLM, MES, CMMS, ERP
• Drive make/buy strategy by evaluating internal and vendor AI capabilities and recommending investments aligned to enterprise roadmaps
