Description

You will provide day-to-day operational and legal assistance to faith-based ministries, helping them navigate legal rights and responsibilities to carry out their religious missions. This includes reviewing governing documents and policies, advising on legal threats to religious liberty, and developing resources. You will also engage in public advocacy through speaking, blogging, and media appearances.

Requirements

• J.D. degree
• Active license in at least one US state bar
• Capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction within one year

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational legal assistance to faith-based ministries
• Formulate legal advice, resources, policies, and best practices for ministry operations
• Assist ministries in adoption and implementation of policies and procedures
• Advise ministries on threats to religious liberty and protective steps
• Develop resources on topics related to churches, ministries, and Christian schools
