Description
You will own procurement and supply chain operations end-to-end, building vendor relationships, sourcing components, negotiating contracts, and managing materials availability to support hardware development and production. This high-impact role involves strategic cost optimization and hands-on execution in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements
- 4–8+ years of supply chain, procurement, or sourcing experience in hardware or manufacturing
- Proven experience owning procurement strategies and negotiating with suppliers
- Strong understanding of hardware development cycles (prototype to production)
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in spreadsheets, ERP/MRP systems, and BOM tools
- Bias toward action and willingness to handle both strategic and detailed work
Responsibilities
- Source and qualify suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and specialty hardware components
- Lead RFQs, negotiate pricing/terms, and drive cost-down initiatives
- Manage supplier performance metrics: on-time delivery, quality, and risk
- Oversee purchasing, inventory levels, lead times, and inbound logistics
- Set up foundational tools for ERP/MRP, purchasing workflows, and inventory management
