Description

In this role, you will resolve complex customer issues in Ubuntu, OpenStack, Ceph, and Kubernetes, acting as the final escalation point for operational troubleshooting. You'll debug issues across the full open source stack, propose workarounds, and collaborate with upstream communities and internal engineering teams to drive fixes.

Requirements

• Professional experience troubleshooting advanced Linux issues
• Background in Computer Science, STEM or similar
• Exceptionally strong experience with Linux, LXD, OpenStack, Ceph or Kubernetes
• Strong debugging experience with Python, Go, C or C++ on Linux
• Familiarity with git source code repositories

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, OpenStack, Ceph and/or Kubernetes
• Debug issues and propose workarounds, liaising with Software Engineers on patches
• Maintain close working relationship with field, support and product engineering teams
• Participate in weekend working rotation
• Travel internationally up to 10% for team meetings and events
