Description

You will apply advanced electrical engineering analysis to improve the reliability, availability, and performance of Nexamp's solar PV and BESS assets. This hybrid role involves diagnosing complex issues, optimizing control schemes, and collaborating with operations and engineering teams to maximize value throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Advanced electrical engineering analysis skills
• Experience with protection settings, relays, and plant controllers
• Ability to perform root-cause failure analysis
• Knowledge of inverter control functions (Volt/VAR, Volt/Watt, etc.)
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostics strategy

Responsibilities

• Own plant protection, controls, and compliance strategy
• Engage directly with utilities on grid-interaction issues
• Improve system reliability by optimizing protection schemes and inverter control functions
• Lead data-driven reliability and loss reduction efforts
• Develop analytical models and performance standards for PV and BESS fleet
