Description

You will lead and grow Akido's Safety Net Service Line across California, overseeing teams delivering street medicine, Enhanced Care Management, Medication Assisted Treatment, and housing operations. You'll drive performance, own the P&L, build health plan relationships, and stay grounded through direct patient contact.

Requirements

• 10+ years leading teams in healthcare, social services, or adjacent safety-net settings.
• 4+ years managing managers.
• Deep familiarity with Medi-Cal, CalAIM ECM Community Supports, and field-based care for vulnerable populations.
• Systems builder who can scale quality from 50 to 500+ staff.
• Data-driven operator with goal-setting and operational improvement skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Health-plan/compliance and health policy familiarity.
• Advanced training (Master’s in Social Work, Public Health, or related field).
• Comfortable spending significant time in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of regional and central service line leaders, driving performance and growth.
• Hit growth and financial targets (patients served, staff productivity, hiring, margin).
• Design and oversee scalable workflows, processes, and protocols.
• Use data to coach directors and program managers via weekly dashboards and variance reviews.
• Build and own relationships with key CBO partners to expand services.
• Own the P&L and budget development in partnership with network and finance leadership.
• Lead critical meetings with health plan partners for ECM and Community Supports.
• Maintain compliance and own grievance and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
• Dedicate time to working with direct patient care staff and meeting patients.
