Description

You will design, build, and ship production-ready models across regression, classification, clustering, ranking, and recommendation systems. You'll work closely with product and engineering teams, conducting end-to-end data science from requirements gathering to deployment, and help build Shopmonkey's analytical and ML foundation from the ground up.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in applied data science (advanced degree may offset).
• Proven experience taking models and analyses to production.
• Strong foundations in classical DS/ML: EDA, prediction, classification, clustering, feature engineering, model evaluation, experimentation.
• Proficiency in Python; strong SQL skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; experience working with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production-ready models (regression, classification, clustering, ranking, recommendation systems).
• Conduct end-to-end development of data science solutions: requirements gathering, data acquisition, exploration, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate ambiguous business problems into well-scoped projects with clear success criteria.
• Define and track model performance metrics, run A/B tests, and iterate based on real-world feedback.
• Implement NLP and LLM-powered components for sentiment analysis, real-time conversation evaluation, and behavior optimization.
