Description

You will lead and supervise a team of attorneys and paralegals in the Tenant Rights Coalition Unit, handling individual housing cases and multi-plaintiff affirmative litigation to prevent displacement and harassment. You'll collaborate with community partners, conduct outreach, and shape the unit's strategic direction.

Requirements

• Demonstrated passion for social justice and commitment to low-income communities
• Expertise in local, state, and federal housing law and policy
• Experience litigating affirmative cases for individuals or tenant groups
• Excellent legal writing, litigation, and advocacy skills
• Strong interpersonal, teaching, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff attorneys and paralegals in housing litigation and administrative support
• Maintain a personal case load and appear in civil, supreme, and federal court
• Review pleadings, motions, and court submissions
• Conduct outreach and off-site intake with community partners
• Work with management to shape unit direction and identify systemic trends
