๐ผ About This Role
You'll design and evaluate flight-critical control laws for Mach's fixed-wing aircraft. You'll own the design, implementation, and validation of control systems from takeoff to landing. This role offers hands-on flight test and rapid iteration on next-gen defense platforms.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Design control systems for fixed-wing vehicles
- Implement control laws accounting for actuator limits and sensor noise
- Participate in system identification and aerodynamic model development
- Execute verification & validation work including SIL/HIL and Monte Carlo
- Participate in flight-test planning, execution, and post-flight analysis
๐ Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- 0-5 years designing and fielding flight control systems for fixed-wing aircraft
- Deep knowledge of flight dynamics, stability, and actuator/sensor modeling
- Proficiency in C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Python for modeling and analysis
โจ Nice to Have
- Experience with modern/MIMO control design (LQR, LQG, LTR)
- Experience with PX4 and ROS 2
- Familiarity with DO-178C/DO-331/ARP4754A processes
