Description
As a Systems Print Engineer at Markforged, you will become a system-level expert in 3D printing technology, applying first principles and multidisciplinary engineering to improve print performance. You'll work hands-on in printer labs to validate hardware, materials, and features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality products.
Requirements
- 0-2 years experience in mechanical, materials, or systems engineering
- Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent
- Hands-on debugging of hardware
- Data analysis and experimental design skills
- Familiarity with CAD and Python scripting for data analysis
Responsibilities
- Validate new print system hardware, printing materials, and printer features
- Execute experiments for root cause analysis and system validation
- Validate technical success metrics for print quality and product performance
- Debug print failures and implement fixes with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with slicer software team to tune print settings and with hardware teams on new designs
