Description

As a Platform Hardware Security Engineer at Anthropic, you will design and implement security architectures for bare-metal infrastructure, building firmware, bootloaders, and attestation systems to ensure infrastructure integrity from the ground up. You'll work cross-functionally to balance security with AI training performance across a massive fleet.

Requirements

• 8+ years in systems security, 5+ years focused on firmware/hardware security
• Hands-on with secure boot, measured boot, attestation (TPM, Intel TXT, AMD SEV, ARM TrustZone)
• Strong understanding of cryptographic protocols and hardware security modules
• Proficiency in low-level programming (C, Rust, Assembly) and systems programming
• Ability to design security architectures for complex, distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure boot chains for diverse hardware platforms
• Architect attestation systems with cryptographic proof of system state
• Develop measured boot implementations and runtime integrity monitoring
• Integrate security controls with infrastructure teams without impacting training performance
• Prototype and validate security mechanisms before production deployment
