Description

You will support critical database platforms across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments, partnering closely with application teams to ensure availability, performance, and reliability of database services within a Follow-the-Sun model.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 7+ years of experience in database administration and infrastructure engineering
• Strong experience with multiple database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Sybase)
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS Aurora, RDS, EC2, EBS, S3)
• Hands-on expertise with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Korn Shell, Python)

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for enterprise database platforms in on-prem private cloud and public cloud
• Monitor database health, capacity, performance, and availability, and respond to alerts and diagnose issues
• Perform routine maintenance activities such as patching, upgrades, and housekeeping
• Troubleshoot database-related incidents and collaborate on root cause analysis
• Contribute to design, implementation, and testing of automation and self-service capabilities
