Description

As a Sr. Power Electronics Engineer on the TWTA team, you will lead the design of kV-level power supplies for Starlink gateways, owning the full hardware lifecycle from concept to deployment and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to revolutionize space communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline
  • 5+ years professional experience in power converter development
  • Experience with magnetics and design of custom transformers and inductors, including planar magnetics
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics
  • Willing to work extended hours and weekends if needed for mission critical deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and ground station operation
  • Design, analyze, and rigorously test DC-DC power converters for harsh environments
  • Design power supplies supporting 10s of kilovolts and hundreds of watts
  • Lead comprehensive verification testing and analysis for electrical power systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to define power electronics hardware and iterate designs
