Description

As a Security Software Engineer on Starlink, you will design and build security infrastructure, develop security features for satellite systems, and improve security posture across product lines. You'll work on cryptographic services, network services, and security for hardware like routers and satellites, helping provide reliable internet to underserved communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/STEM + 5 years security software development, or 7+ years without degree
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang
• Experience designing security solutions for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure
• Experience with network protocols including TCP/IP and UDP
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites)
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture
• Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements
