Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Community Support Engineering team, you'll lead projects to enhance the technology and architecture that powers Airbnb's customer support, working globally to improve experiences for guests, hosts, and agents. You'll develop core data services and supervisor platforms, and leverage AI/ML/LLM to advance engineering foundations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in at least one major programming language (such as Java/Kotlin).
• Experience in building large and scalable systems, such as high-traffic systems, big volume data processing.
• Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions to solve real-world problems.
• Mentorship to junior developers.
• Fluent communication in both English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy to build novel products and features.
• Drive, lead, and contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
• Review code and design docs, give feedback on product specs and mocks.
• Discuss and align technical specifications and implementation details with other engineers.
• Collaborate with design and product partners by presenting tradeoffs and iterating to the ideal solution.
• Write clean, testable and maintainable code to implement the features.
• Perform tech design and code reviews and advise/mentor other engineers.
• Drive delivery, communicate status to stakeholders and ensure overall quality when acting as POC for projects.
• Advocate and participate in efforts to advance Airbnb’s engineering processes and technical foundations.
• Provide critical input in team roadmap and technical direction.
