💼 About This Role

You'll build the security infrastructure platform at Coupang, enabling rapid scaling of services while maintaining customer trust. Your core impact will be developing Identity and Access Management (IAM) functionality for our entire ecosystem of vendors, sellers, and shoppers. This role stands out for its focus on platform usability, reliability, and efficiency across thousands of microservices.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop IAM platforms and iterate rapidly with a small team
• Partner with teams to understand needs and future direction
• Design robust and scalable systems balancing strategy and impact
• Write back-end APIs in Java and Go using industry-standard frameworks
• Drive platform adoption across teams with urgency

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related field
• 6 years of experience in backend software development
• Experience working in cloud environments, particularly AWS
• Demonstrated experience building highly available, distributed systems

✨ Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of security protocols such as OIDC and OAuth2
• Experience with Kubernetes, gRPC, and Istio
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
