You'll produce flight safety analyses and regulatory strategy for FAA Part 450 and Range Safety licensing. You'll bridge engineering trades and regulatory approval, ensuring reentry methodologies are mathematically sound. This role offers direct impact on mission safety and compliance.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Perform flight safety analyses with failure mode trajectory modeling
  • Execute technical regulatory strategy for FAA launch and reentry authorizations
  • Complete vehicle-level functional hazard and failure mode analyses
  • Act as Flight Safety engineer during rehearsals and recovery operations

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or related field
  • Demonstrated ownership of a complex engineering project cradle-to-grave
  • Strong experience with risk management methodologies (FMEA, FHA, FTA)
  • Experience with interdisciplinary systems integration in aerospace

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Experience with FAA Part 450 and casualty modeling
  • Safety critical mission operations in aviation or space
  • Familiarity with FCC licensing for satellite communications
