💼 About This Role

You'll join the Voice Connectivity Trust team to ensure reliable voice communication for customers. You'll design and implement real-time services with high throughput and low latency, and own services in a distributed production environment. This role focuses on building robust solutions for Twilio's Voice channel using JVM-based technologies.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement real-time services with high throughput and low latency
• Work with stakeholders to understand customer needs and deliver scalable solutions
• Write detailed technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response

📋 Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience in large-scale distributed applications on JVM technologies
• Experience building RESTful services and event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS)
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, OpenStack, Azure)
• Strong Java fundamentals and ability to architect and debug code

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience scaling data tiers with SQL/NoSQL and caching technologies
• Knowledge of SIP or Stir/Shaken protocols
• Proficiency with AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
