Description

You will design and build spacecraft systems for Crew Starship, including primary and secondary structures, mechanisms, and crew-interfacing hardware. This role requires full hardware ownership from concept through integration, supporting Lunar, Mars, and other missions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience (internship qualifies)

Responsibilities

• Own design, analysis, and manufacturing of next-gen structures and mechanisms for Starship (e.g., solar deploy system, landing legs, lunar elevator)
• Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop and optimize designs
• Lead design reviews internally and with suppliers and customers (e.g., NASA)
• Negotiate trade studies to optimize cost, schedule, safety, and performance
• Manage project delivery timeline from design through production, launch, and recovery
