Description

You will lead the Experiment Infrastructure team to deliver a next-generation experimentation platform that enables faster, data-driven iteration at Airbnb. You will shape the vision and technical strategy, improve experiment methodology, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years managing teams of software engineers.
• 9+ years relevant software development experience in a fast-paced tech environment.
• BS, MS, or PhD in CS or related field.
• Technical leadership with experience leading senior teams and setting technical direction.
• Experience with experimentation and/or feature flagging systems at large scale.
• Passion for experimentation methodology and practice.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to retain, mentor, grow, and hire senior and staff engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in delivering a platform for experimentation to guide decision-making with speed and reliability.
• Own technical direction and decisions for the team.
• Partner with upstream dependencies, stakeholders, and customers (Data Science, Analysts, Product Engineers).
• Empower the team to achieve high productivity, reliability, and simplicity.
• Stay current on industry trends and contribute to engineering culture.
