Description

You will identify and solve degradation modes of composite solid-state cathode technology, designing experiments to balance energy density and rate capability. You'll lead projects, communicate complex results to teams, and drive innovation in solid-state battery materials.

Requirements

• PhD +3 years, MS +6 years, or BS +8 years in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field
• 7-10+ years experience in battery R&D with focus on lithium-ion or solid-state systems
• Hands-on experience developing cathode materials and composite electrodes
• Proven track record leading technical projects with defined milestones
• Deep understanding of lithium-based battery systems including cathode materials and solid electrolytes

Responsibilities

• Develop and test composite solid state cathode materials and formulations
• Optimize composite solid-state cathodes based on understanding of solid electrolyte interactions
• Identify failure modes of solid-state cathodes
• Assemble solid state cells and perform electrochemical testing
• Document and analyze electrochemical tests and analytical characterization results
