Description

As a technician on the Thermal Protection Systems team at SpaceX, you will manufacture and test heat shield components for Starship, working hands-on in the office, factory, and lab to help enable human life on Mars.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 1+ year experience in production or manufacturing assembly
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Responsibilities

• Preprocess and manufacture ceramic fibers and powders for heat shield components
• Fabricate ceramic refractory billets, tiles, gap fillers, and coatings
• Perform laminate fabrication, surface preparation, vacuum bagging, and oven curing
• Document material processing steps for replication
• Inspect products and perform rework as required
