Description

You will provide hands-on safety and environmental support to Archer's composites manufacturing site and flight operations. You'll own day-to-day implementation of safety programs, focusing on high-hazard equipment and aircraft operations, partnering with site leadership to drive risk down while enabling schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years EHS or safety engineering experience in aerospace, aviation maintenance, advanced composites, or heavy manufacturing.
• Direct exposure to high-hazard equipment (pressure vessels, ovens, CNC/machining, or similar).
• Experience supporting flight operations, aircraft maintenance, or airport/ramp environments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA/Cal-OSHA requirements for machine guarding, LOTO, electrical safety, pressure vessels, etc.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary safety engineer for Huntington Beach and Hawthorne, first point of contact for EHS questions.
• Lead pre-startup safety reviews and buy-offs for regional equipment and processes.
• Own regional compliance for Cal/OSHA pressure vessel/air receiver requirements.
• Support electrical and machine-safety risk assessments for high-amp equipment.
• Develop and maintain documented operating envelopes and safety limits for thermal processes.
