💼 About This Role

You'll work on vehicle platform Low Voltage systems, collaborating with internal product teams and OEM partners to define requirements and architecture. Your core impact will be developing safety-critical power electronics systems engineering for autonomous vehicle platforms. This role offers the opportunity to shape the hardware foundation of Waymo's self-driving technology.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Write requirements for low voltage systems with OEM partners
• Define communications network and architecture design
• Develop safety concepts, FTA, and FMEDA work products
• Plan and execute tests, analyze data, resolve defects

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Deep knowledge of electrical power systems in safety critical systems
• Ability to create and negotiate OEM targets and requirements
• Understanding of Functional Safety per ISO26262

✨ Nice to Have

• 3+ years automotive experience in low voltage systems
• Knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Ethernet)
• Experience with fail-safe and fail-tolerant system design
