Description

As a Dimensional Inspector at SpaceX, you will perform precision inspections of flight hardware using standard gauges and advanced metrology tools like CMM and articulating arms. You'll ensure all parts meet SpaceX's stringent quality standards, document non-conformances, and support supplier corrective actions. This role is critical to maintaining the reliability of spacecraft and launch vehicles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 3+ years precision mechanical inspection experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5
• Proficient with metrology tools and gauges
• Willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Select and use standard gauges to inspect feature tolerances
• Program and operate Articulating Arm (e.g., Romer) or CMM
• Review documentation and verify conformance to design specs
• Inspect flight hardware at supplier sites (up to 20% travel)
• Document non-conforming materials and support corrective actions
