💼 About This Role

You'll lead sourcing and supplier relationships for plastics, harnesses, and interconnects at Base, a next-generation power company deploying distributed battery networks. You'll drive cost optimization and supply continuity across a global supply base, enabling production ramp and sustained manufacturing. This role collaborates closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to execute our product roadmap.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end RFx processes from scoping to supplier selection
• Build should-cost models to benchmark pricing and identify cost-down opportunities
• Negotiate piece price, tooling, payment terms, and master agreements
• Own commercial relationships with key suppliers and manage escalations

📋 Requirements

• Background in sourcing plastics, harnesses, and interconnect commodities such as injection-molded components and wire harnesses
• 3+ years of sourcing experience in a similar role
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
• Willingness to travel 25% domestically and internationally

• Experience applying first principles thinking to supplier negotiations
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems
• Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately
