Description

You will lead strategic engagement with law enforcement and domestic security services across EMEA to protect Airbnb's community from criminal threats and acts of violence. This involves building trusted relationships, coordinating information exchange, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance safety and trust.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a law enforcement or domestic security service officer.
• Expertise in investigating and preventing serious and organized crime, acts of violence, and threats to public safety.
• Experience conducting complex investigations involving violent crime, organized crime, child sexual exploitation, terrorism, or cybercrime.
• Professional work experience with law enforcement agencies in the European Union.
• Experience managing law enforcement requests for information, production orders, emergency disclosure requests, and MLAT requests.
• Professional knowledge of GDPR and data privacy frameworks.
• Training and experience in crisis planning, management, and critical incident response.
• Ability to work effectively in a global environment with cultural differences.
• Highly developed network of resources with global law enforcement and security services.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with cross-functional collaboration record.
• Professional presence to interact with executive management.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout EMEA and support 24/7 operations.
• Native proficiency in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage efforts to cultivate trusted relationships with law enforcement partners in EMEA.
• Lead effective information exchange and collaboration with regional law enforcement on criminal and life safety matters.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with law enforcement and government authorities in EMEA via international organizations.
• Lead regional and contribute to global programs to educate external partners on Airbnb's trust and safety capabilities.
• Provide expertise and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams on law enforcement engagement.
• Lead law enforcement communication during crisis response and high-risk operations in EMEA.
• Identify market segments and external partnership opportunities to improve law enforcement liaison.
• Investigate and overcome barriers to collaborative law enforcement operations and data exchange.
• Collaborate with legal, community support, and public policy teams on online safety and law enforcement issues.
• Develop and communicate data, metrics, and performance measures for law enforcement engagement.
• Manage project logistics including scoping, alignment, contractual agreements, rollouts, and budgets.
