Description

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Kiva, you'll lead the design and evolution of our core platform, working across backend services and frontend applications. You'll drive technical decisions, mentor others, and deliver meaningful product outcomes to expand financial access for underserved communities.

Requirements

• 6+ years professional software engineering experience, including senior-level ownership
• Strong backend experience with Kotlin, PHP, and/or Node.js in production systems
• Frontend expertise with Vue.js, Nuxt, or comparable modern frameworks
• Experience designing scalable APIs and data models
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects with minimal direction

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of end-to-end features using Kotlin, PHP, Node.js, and Vue.js/Nuxt
• Own technical solutions from discovery through production, balancing product needs with maintainability
• Design, build, and evolve backend services, APIs, and data models
• Set standards for frontend quality, performance, and accessibility
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
