Description

You will work with an elite team of fabricators to build and weld large assemblies supporting rocket vehicle and component testing at SpaceX test sites in Texas. Collaborate with engineers and lead welders to achieve build efficiency and improve operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 2+ years of experience in at least one of: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW
• Ability to work multiple shifts and change shifts with minimal notice
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 lbs.) unassisted
• Ability to work at elevated heights (up to 100 feet)

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, or GMAW welding on various metals
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations
• Collaborate with lead welder to assess proper weld procedure, material, and rod size
• Weld assembly and fabrication on small to large-scale structures and assemblies
• Setup safety equipment and work platforms at elevated heights
