💼 About This Role

You'll set editorial strategy for Vox's Future Perfect, Climate, Health, and Down to Earth teams, as well as The Gray Area podcast. You'll shape stories and coverage plans to ensure they are rigorous and aligned with Vox's mission. This role combines deep editorial judgment with intellectual engagement across science, health, and technology.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Set editorial direction for Future Perfect, Climate, Health, and Down to Earth
• Shape stories and coverage plans for rigor and alignment with strategy
• Provide editorial guidance for The Gray Area video podcast
• Manage editors, giving feedback and coaching career growth

📋 Requirements

• At least 5 years of full-time editing experience in a digital newsroom
• Experience managing editors (managing managers preferred)
• Strong editorial judgment and intellectual range across science and tech
• Strategic thinking about editorial coverage in context of audience and sustainability

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with grant-funded editorial projects
• Experience working across text, audio, and video mediums
